The matrimonial covenant, by which a man and a woman establish between themselves a partnership of the whole of life, is by its nature ordered toward the good of the spouses and the procreation and education of offspring; this covenant between baptized persons has been raised by Christ the Lord to the dignity of a sacrament.

When two Christians are sacramentally married before a priest or deacon in church, God enters in and blesses their union.
- A life-long and unbreakable bond is created between the spouses that no power on earth can break.
- Through this sacrament God gives special graces to a husband and wife to live this union of love and life-long fidelity.
- He may also gift them with children and by grace aid them in raising their children to be happy and holy.
Christian families are in a special and sacramental way icons of the Kingdom of God in our world, images of divine life and love that witness to the Gospel and bring vitality and joy to our society. A truly wonderful gift!
When you fall in love and decide to get married it is a beautiful thing, something the Church celebrates. The Church is with you on this journey and will help you prepare to enter into the Sacrament of Matrimony. If you would like to get married our church please talk to the priest at least six months before your hoped-for wedding date.
If you have been married before, or you have got married outside of the church and now want to come home, please do not shy away from talking to your priest about it. Life can be complicated, and we understand that; there may be some way we can help. There is no harm in having a conversation.
